Terms of Service
Effective 25 October 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and RK Technologies LLP, trading as R-TECK ("we"), for the use of Ledja. By creating an account or using Ledja you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Ledja for a business, you confirm you may accept these terms for that business.
2. Who can use Ledja
You must be at least 18 and use Ledja for a lawful business. The person who creates the business account is its owner. The owner is responsible for the staff they add and what those staff do in Ledja.
3. Your account
- Give correct information and keep your password and PINs private. Do not share one login between several people; give each staff member their own PIN.
- Tell us straight away through Help & support if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and on phones you have logged in to.
4. The service
Ledja lets you record sales, stock, credit, expenses and receipts, works without internet and syncs when a connection is available. We may improve, change or remove features. Ledja is currently offered as a pilot and may change as we learn from shops.
Offline use: records made without internet are kept on the phone until they sync. If a phone is lost, reset or the app's data is cleared before it syncs, those records can be lost. Connect regularly, and watch the sync indicator.
5. Fees
Ledja is free during the pilot. We may introduce paid plans later. We will tell you at least 30 days before any charge applies, and you can stop using Ledja and download your data before then.
6. Your data
You own the business records you put into Ledja. You give R-TECK permission to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to provide, secure, back up and support Ledja for you. Owners can download their data at any time. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, including your responsibilities for your customers' and suppliers' information.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Ledja to: break any law; record or sell illegal goods or services; commit fraud or deceive customers, suppliers or authorities; harass people (for example with abusive debt reminders); upload harmful code; try to access other businesses' data or our systems without permission; copy, resell or reverse-engineer Ledja; or overload the service.
8. Your responsibilities for your records and taxes
- Check that prices, stock and amounts you enter are correct. Reports are based on what you record. Profit for items without a known buying price is an estimate until you record the real price.
- Ledja receipts are not fiscal receipts. Ledja is not a URA EFRIS-certified system. If your business must issue EFRIS e-invoices or e-receipts, you remain responsible for doing so.
- You are responsible for your tax filings, business licences and keeping records for as long as the law requires.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep Ledja available and your data safe, with daily backups and monitoring, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Planned maintenance may briefly interrupt syncing; selling on the phone continues offline. Support is available through Help & support in the app.
10. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Ledja at any time and ask us to delete your business account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or where the law requires, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. Where possible we will give you time to download your data first.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Ledja is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, R-TECK is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, lost sales or business interruption, or for losses caused by incorrect entries, lost or unsynced phones, or misuse by your staff. Our total liability to you for any claim about Ledja is limited to the amount you paid us for Ledja in the 3 months before the claim, or UGX 100,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ugandan law that cannot be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app at least 14 days before important changes take effect. If you keep using Ledja after that, the new terms apply.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. We will first try to settle any dispute with you in good faith; if that fails, the courts of Uganda will decide it.
